Mass media

Nowadays, the mass media like the TV, radio, and newspapers have a huge influence on people’s ideas and behavior. I agree with this point and it can affect the societies with bad habits.

First of all, there is some advantage of mass media. Firstly we can learn from the TV if we use it in the right way like Islamic channels and useful programs. The radio is very useful for example in my country there is a program at 7 clock in the morning discussing the situation of the people; also in the newspaper every day we can read about other countries and what is happening there. We have this method we can use it in the right way to be useful for us but we live in an educated society and we can choose which is the right and the wrong.

On the other hand the disadvantage is too much in my opinion. Firstly, the mass media affect all people especially the teenagers and the children. The teenagers will learn from another culture and will grow with them and it will affect the society; for example in China the government controls everything even, the internet; they are showing only their programs and movies.

To sum up, the mass media are very useful and if we use  them in the right way we can learn from other countries. We also can see and know about other cultures in the world but we should not forget our country and our culture.

education

Nowadays, in many countries around the world the number of people continuing their education after the school has increased. Also the range of courses has also increased in the colleges and universities and some courses are delivered online or by distance. Generally speaking these are positive developments.

First of all, there are some negative aspects of these education developments especially for the countries which have huge developed systems of higher and further education. Firstly, the number of the students in the universities will start increasing which means in the future there will be no space for new students. Secondly, if most people have a degree it will affect the society because there will not be enough jobs for the people.

On the other hand, in the developing countries the expansion of higher education is a very positive development and the UAE is the best example of this. Firstly, the higher education will be very useful for the economy and for the country itself. In the last 25 years the education has seen the starting up of many colleges and universities. In the future the education will produce good people with perfect knowledge for society and it will be linked with economic development.

To sum up, there are some negative points but the positives outweigh them. In my opinion the educational developments are like an investment and you will always make a profit.

Portolio Task 2

Portolio Task 2
Nowadays many people move to new cities more than ever before. The method of transport is easier than before. In this essay I will explain the challenges facing these people and the strategies to meet with these challenges.

Many people who move from their country to another country are facing a lot of challenges. The major challenge is the culture because it will be a completely different culture from their culture. Secondly if you move to another country to study or work you will be away from your family and I think this is a very bad thing. Also they are living in a society with a different mother language.
There are a lot of strategies to meet these challenges. First of all the culture problem is a very big problem but there is a solution. You can make a research for all cultures and it will be very useful for our knowledge. Secondly in this century the companies have developed the smart phone and they create new programs like SKYPE so when we are away from our families we can use these methods to contact with them daily. Learn a new language is very good but also improve your English which is the world language.

To sum up, these are some of the challenges facing the people who travel for work or study and the best strategies. In my opinion there are the best strategies but there are different opinions between the people.

In the next two years the figure went up to nearly nine million.
